    Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at info@sophieharwoodart.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The portrait typically takes 2-3 weeks to complete and deliver. This includes  professional mounting and Royal Mail Special Delivery.  During the process of the portrait the client will be emailed progress photos and a final photo to approve, this may delay time for completion if the emails are not checked regularly, clients are reminded at the start of the portrait drawing.

Yes, I offer custom framing for any of my original pieces. I work with a trusted local framer to ensure the highest quality framing for each piece. But only if the client is local to drop off or willing to travel to collect the frame.  Frames are not posted, due to the lack of insurance cover for the glass being possibly broken and damaging the frame and artwork.

I can use many photos to find the best likeness for the portrait, I always request more than one photo.  I use older photos (non-digital), these can be scanned or photographed and emailed.

However, all photos need to be copyright free and any professional photos need to have the photographers permission to use them.

For tips on finding or taking suitable photos for portraits see this link:  How to photograph your pet for the perfect portrait.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact me within 14 days of receiving your artwork to discuss a return or exchange. Please note that original shipping costs are non-refundable and the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
